I only located old, outdated answers to old, outdated concerns when searching for this.
I have a desktop (that I built) with a motherboard “that does not support USB 3.”. Now does this mean that the existing USB ports on this motherboard are NOT and Never WILL BE USB three.? Along with that question, can I add a pci card with USB 3. ports on it?
I believe my mental block is is USB 3. supported by the motherboard or what? If “my motherboard does not assistance USB three.” then does that mean that I cannot obtain a USB three. hub or USB 3. pci card? I know the cards are out there but I do not know if they are for folks who have “USB 3. supporting motherboards and want to add more USB 3. ports”? or if you can put a usb 3. pci card into fairly much any motherboard and they will operate? If the latter is the case, what is the limitations as to what computers can do this and what computers cannot?
I know that/those question(s) had been extremely scrambled. Answer clearly please and ejukait me please!! Thanks in advance!
